"Quick and Easy Support Experience"
I needed help with a question about my ASCP account and thought I’d be waiting around for a while, but they got back to me quickly. The person who helped me seemed to understand the issue right away and gave me simple, clear steps to follow without overcomplicating anything. I did have to send one follow-up reply, and they answered that the same day too. Overall, it was a really smooth experience, and I appreciated not being left waiting for days.

"My gut says the membership is worth it"
I signed up for ASCP mostly for the CE resources and to stay on top of my certification stuff, my gut feeling is that it’s been worth the cost. The website isn’t always the smoothest to use and can feel a little clunky, but I end up using the resources regularly. It saves me from digging around all over the place for updates or courses, which is a big plus. The discounts are nice too. It’s not perfect, but if you’re actually going to use what they offer, I’d say it’s a good value.

"They really do speak up for us"
I gotta say, their advocacy updates made me feel like someone was actually listening to us. It’s nice knowing they’re speaking up and keeping us in the loop, not just leaving us wondering what’s going on.

"Some stuff was helpful, some not so much"
I thought it was decent overall, there were a few publications that were actually useful and gave me something to work with, but then others didn’t really feel relevant to what I needed so I kind of found myself skipping around a bit.

"Surprisingly decent for finding volunteer gigs"
I mostly used ascp.org to look for volunteer opportunities, it was more helpful than I expected, which is always a nice plot twist on the internet. The info was easy to follow, and I liked that there were a few different ways to get involved instead of the classic “here’s one option, good luck.” A couple pages made me stop and play detective for a minute, but nothing too painful. Overall, it’s a useful site and worth checking out if you’re looking to donate some time.

"Helpful, but my first impression was a little mixed"
My first impression of ascp was that it had a lot of useful exam prep info, but it wasn’t super easy to navigate right away. I mostly used it to understand the exam layout and look through some practice materials, and it definitely helped with that. That said, I had to dig around a bit to find what I actually needed, and a few pages felt kind of outdated. I still ended up using other books and videos to feel fully prepared. Overall, it’s decent and worth checking out, especially if you already know where to look, but I wouldn’t rely on it as my only study resource

"Helpful community, but I wish it felt more active"
I’ve found the forums and events useful here and there, especially when I’m trying to figure something out. That said, replies can take a while, and to me it sometimes feels a bit closed off, like the community isn’t as lively or welcoming as I’d hoped

"Good overall, but a bit dated in places"
I’ve been learning a decent amount from it, so overall it’s been helpful. That said, a few of the modules feel kind of outdated and could really use a refresh. Has anyone else run into the same thing?

"Useful guidelines, but they need to be clearer and kept up to date"
The clinical guidelines are available, but it takes way too long to find a clear answer when you need one. Some sections feel outdated, and others are so vague that they don’t really help with day-to-day decisions. They’re not useless, but if these guidelines are meant to support real clinical work, there needs to be more accountability for keeping them current, practical, and easy to use

"The site worked fine overall, but I can’t..."
The site worked fine overall, but I can’t say I fully trust it yet. I’ve dealt with a few similar sites before where things looked okay at first, so I tend to be a bit cautious. Some of the info here was hard to double-check, and the process felt kind of unclear in places. It’s not terrible, but I’d definitely take a closer look before relying on everything there.

"Really Easy to Use"
The site was super simple to navigate, and the whole process was easy from start to finish. I didn’t have to waste time figuring anything out, which I really appreciated.

"I used ASCP for some leadership development..."
I used ASCP for some leadership development resources, and overall it was solid. A few of the topics were genuinely useful, especially the sections on communicating with a team and dealing with change in the workplace.

That said, the site itself could be a little smoother. I had to poke around more than I expected to find what I needed, and some of the content felt a bit dry. For something meant to help busy professionals, it just makes sense to keep things clear, practical, and easy to get through.
I wouldn’t call it bad by any means. I did get value out of it, but I think it would be better if the navigation were simpler and the examples felt more hands-on. Good content, just needs a more user-friendly setup

"Webinars were easy enough to get into"
I used ascp.org for a webinar, it went smoothly for the most part. Logging in was simple, and I found the webinar link without having to go on some ridiculous treasure hunt, which was nice. The video loaded fine on my laptop, so no complaints there. It did take me a minute to figure out where the handouts were, because apparently that couldn’t be super obvious, but I got there eventually. Not perfect, but overall it worked well enough, and I’d probably use it again.

"Helped me move up at work"
Used ascp.org a lot for certification info and keeping up with CE requirements. made me feel more prepared when I applied for a lead tech position. Got the promotion a few months later, which was huge for me. Site can be a little clunky at times, but the career support and info were worth it.

"Helpful resources, but I don’t always feel represented"
ASCP does have some useful info, and I do appreciate that they speak up for lab professionals sometimes. The site’s easy to use too, even if it can feel a little dry.

I just wish the representation felt more connected to what’s actually happening in day-to-day lab work. Sometimes it seems like the focus is more on the bigger-picture issues than the stuff techs are really dealing with.

"Overall, I had a decent experience. The…"
Overall, I had a decent experience. The pricing felt a bit on the higher side, but the fees were explained clearly, so there weren’t any surprises. I got what I needed without any issues — I just wish the renewal cost was a little more affordable.

"I’ve made a few solid connections in..."
I’ve made a few solid connections in the lab here, which is what you’d hope for in a place like this. If you show up and actually talk to people, it’s a good spot to connect
